Although all of the above share some key characteristics, they are nonetheless quite different and it's important to be aware of the differences.
--------
COACHING is based on the belief and assumption that individuals have the answers to their own problems within them and that they are creative, resourceful, and whole.
Coaching is forward looking and future focused in the here and now - a dance in the moment. The coach is focused on helping the individual to unlock their own potential. The key skill of coaching is asking the right questions to help the individual work through their own issues. Coaching is not about telling the client what to do. And, being coached can be a challenging and stretching experience.
--------
MENTORING differs from the rest in the way that a mentor is typically someone more senior and experienced than the mentee (client). A mentor has typically firsthand experience in solving the issues the mentee is confronted with and is mentored on. A mentor is usually telling the mentee what to do in order to move through, overcome or bypass the issues based on his/her own experiences.
--------
TRAINING is basically teaching. The trainer typically is the subject matter expert and imparts knowledge to the learner/student.
--------
CONSULTING advises the client what to do. The consultant is a subject matter expert and provides professional or expert advice/knowledge to people working in a specific field or an organisation.
--------
THERAPY - Psychotherapy is typically looking backwards in time. It encourages the client to go back to earlier life experiences such as difficult childhood experiences or trauma and explore how these experiences affect their current situation. Therapy considers that the client needs healing to get whole.

Coaching is my passion made profession. I am passionate about learning and development, cultural differences and especially change management, I am highly interested in what motivates people, what makes them behave the way they do, how to initiate behavioral change and how to get from where we are to where we want to be. I am involved in personal development since the age of 17, which means over 30 years by now.
As a professional coach I bring personal development, corporate experience, transition from employment to entrepreneurship and a wealth of formal and ongoing international education to my coaching practice; together with extensive experience in cultural differences, languages and intercultural relationships this is a rare profile and gives me my edge as a coach.
While working for 18 years in the financial services industry I held different roles and responsibilities with some of the big multinational names: Fidelity Investments, Credit Suisse Asset Management, Reuters and Thomson Reuters – and in different countries.
My practical experience is well rounded by two post-graduate degrees: a MBA in International Management from Ecole de Management, Marseille, France (now KEDGE Business School) and a MA in Applied Coaching from University of Derby, UK. Furthermore I hold a German-French Double Diploma in Business Economics from Hochschule Bremen (University of Applied Science – Diplom-Kauffrau (FH), Bremen, Germany and Centre d’Etudes Supérieures Européennes de Management (CESEM), Marseille, France.
As a Certified High Performance coach I use an outstanding curriculum which is science based, proven and has been used with Fortune 50 CEOs, Olympic athletes as well as with celebrities. Since 2014 I am certified in this process and one of the originally only 200 certified coaches worldwide. I am regularly returning to the USA to get recertified by High Performance Institute to always keep up to date for my clients. Certified High Performance Coaching is a top notch coaching program which combines coaching and training to make you a high performer or to help you reach your next level.
I followed tons of trainings. Did I mention that I LOVE Learning? You actually might think that I am a little crazy...
